Your first home starts with a 30-day free trial on any software plan — no credit card required. The free trial is once per account, not once per home, and it's for accounts whose first purchase is a software plan: any home you put on a paid plan after your account is already billing — a Directory Listing included — bills from the start, and we'll ask for a card if there isn't one on file. How many residents can I manage?

Our Basic plan supports up to 10 residents, Progress supports up to 16, and Structured scales to 30. Running more than one house? Every house goes on one invoice, with automatic discounts from 10% on the 2nd house up to 40% from the 5th house on — no need to ask.

Can residents log in and use the software themselves?

Yes. Every resident gets their own private recovery app — a personal dashboard with a sobriety counter, 24/7 AI mentors, goal tracking, and mental health assessments. What residents do in their private app is not visible to house managers.

What do resident profiles include?

Each profile tracks sobriety date, intake date, bed assignment, admission status (active, pending, discharged), phase, emergency contacts, referral source, employment status, and private staff notes.

Can I track milestones like 30, 60, 90 days sober?

Yes. Sobriety, program, and personal milestones are tracked automatically. The resident's private dashboard also celebrates their day count and milestones.

What happens when a resident is discharged?

You can mark a resident discharged without deleting history. All past UAs, payments, curfew logs, and notes stay archived for your compliance records.

How is resident data protected?

Resident records are encrypted at rest, sent over TLS in transit, and gated by per-person permissions enforced on our servers, with optional two-factor sign-in. Most sober living homes are not HIPAA-covered entities, and Sober Friend is not marketed as a HIPAA-compliant platform.
