Hi, my name is Romy. I've been a sober companion since 2017, and a progressive recovery coach since 2020. I currently work for Connections In Recovery, as well as independent clients. I have previously worked with Sunrise to Sunset Recovery. I have helped many people adjust to a newly sober life. Tasks have included personally assisting with everyday errands such as appointments and meetings, being in charge of medications, accompanying to 12 step meetings, setting goals, Motivational Interviewing, routines and schedules. I also help clients with augmentation; practicing coping skills and other therapeutic activities. I have experience working with clients recovering from Substance Use Disorders, eating disorders, mental health diagnosis as well as dual diagnosis’ and co-occurring disorders. I believe that each individual is different and has unique needs when it comes to recovery. I work closely with each client on setting achievable goals based on their life experience and needs. I believe in a balanced and well-rounded approach to recovery. I have 13 years of recovery in AA, 8 years of recovery in Al-Anon and 6 years of recovery in SLAA.
